| Material that has been identified through testing as not likely to result in generation of acid effluent. A layer, or base, composed of NAG material is used in most reclamation covers. NAG may be obtained from mine waste or ore with low sulfide content, historic mine tailings, subsoil material, or created, in the case of a base, by mixing agricultural lime with the substrate material. |
